Businesses WIN! PDF Print E-mail

Our Business Partners are four-way winners & community builders:

  • They help high school teens find the motivation to stay in school, graduate and attend college.
  • They help to reduce the local high school drop-out rate.
  • They add trained, motivated high school and college youth to the workforce.
  • They help their business become a significant contributor to the improvement of our economy.

To support youth career success, here's what you need to know:

  • Interns need a meaningful project, one that will help them get a good look at what a career in their chosen field will be like.
  • Interns need an on-site advisor, someone who will introduce them to your workplace, help them learn best practices for your business, and help them build relationships that will guide them through their education and the launch of their own career.
  • The internship can be up to 130 hours with interns working from 4-12 hours per week during July and August.
  • Interns are provided with summer bus passes to take care of transportation to and from your work place.
  • Your ability to make a tax-deductible donation to Step it Up, Inc. to help defray the costs of internship development is greatly appreciated.

Here's what Step It Up, Inc. does to support a youth at your work place:
