Step It Up, Inc. not only provides connections for internships for teens. It also provides mentors to support them throughout their college and career experiences. Does this sound like something you might be interested in? Do you live or work in the Portland area? Consider becoming a mentor with the Step It Up, Inc. Career Achievement Mentoring Program. 

Mentors need to be eager to assist a young person to achieve their educational and career goals, and willing to spend their time working with the youth on any activities that they and staff feel are important to the youth’s personal, educational, and career development. Those interested in applying should be experienced in mentoring a youth in some capacity, knowledgeable about mentoring, and capable of going the extra mile to help the youth succeed.

Requirements:

• Mentors must be at least 21 years old
• Must be willing to commit to 2 hours per week, 4 times a month for at least one year
