What do we do at Step It Up, Inc.?

Many adults today learned the skills required for success in the workplace - how to be diligent, accountable, and responsible - through part-time work in high school. But the reality is that jobs where young people can learn these skills and values today, and in this economy, are not nearly as available. Too many youth are missing those formative experiences. Our programs provide these experiences for youth to achieve career and college success.

Career Club

Step It Up’s Career Club is a year-round program that prepares teens and young adults, ages 13-24, for career and college success. Youth are supported through assessment of personal talents and career interests; development of communication, teamwork, networking, and leadership skills; and creation of guidelines for efficient time and financial management. Throughout these workshops, there is an emphasis on the development of effective relationship-building skills that youth will use the rest of their lives.
