Cheryl McLeod, BA

Operations Manager

Cheryl started working at Step It Up, Inc. in December of 2009 to get the organization better connected with the communities it serves, partners with, and wants to meet for new partnerships. She manages our social media projects, volunteer program, financials, and communications. She graduated from Whitworth University in 2008 with a BA in history with an emphasis in public history, and is excited to be able to use her skills to further the programs and goals of Step It Up, Inc.

Linda McNeill, MURP

Executive Director

Linda is a co-founder of Step It Up, Inc., which started the pilot Internship Program in 2004 in response to Portland youth’s lack of access to professional career opportunities. Linda’s educational background is in architecture, community economic development, and public policy. She has experience working with teens at after school programs through Jefferson High School, Sabin Community Development Corporation (CDC), and Step It Up, Inc. programs. She has been with the organization since 2003 and is amazed to see the progress program participants make in achieving their career and education goals.
